Move apps and make folders

Drag apps into place, move a group together, rename a folder and hide an app without removing it from your Mac.

Move an app or a group

  1. Hold an app until the icons wobble.
  2. Drag it to its new place. Hold at a screen edge to move to the next page.
  3. Command-click other apps before dragging to move the selection together.
  4. Click Done, press Escape or click empty space to finish.

Create and change a folder

Drop one app on another. CubbyPad names the folder from the kinds of apps inside; click the name to change it. Drag an app beyond an open folder’s edge to take it out. A folder with one app left turns back into that app. Right-click a folder and choose Customize to add a color, emoji or symbol.

Hide, rename and undo

The right-click menu includes Rename, Move to Folder, Move to Page, Add to Dock and Hide from Grid. Hiding leaves the app installed and available in search. Bring it back from Settings › Hidden Apps. Command–Z undoes changes to the grid; Shift–Command–Z redoes them.
