Start with a preset
Open Settings › Grid and try Default, Classic, iPad, Glass or Minimal. Presets change the appearance together. You can adjust individual settings afterward, use Undo to go back, or choose Default to restore the starting look.
Set the backdrop
- Glass frosts the desktop behind the grid.
- Wallpaper uses your Mac’s wallpaper.
- Color gives you a simple solid backdrop.
- Picture lets you choose your own image.
- Use blur and dim to keep the apps easy to read.
Adjust the space around your apps
Choose smaller or larger icons and compact, standard or roomy spacing. Set the number of rows and columns. App names can stay visible, appear on hover, or be hidden; label sizes are available too. For a particular folder, right-click it and choose Customize.
Change the presentation
Use full screen, show the Dock, or open CubbyPad in a centered window. Choose zoom, fade or rise and adjust the opening speed. Your Mac’s Reduce Motion preference is respected.
