Choose how to open the app grid

Set up the keyboard shortcut, F4, a three-finger pinch, a hot corner, or the Dock and menu bar icons.

Choose a shortcut

Open Settings › Opening. The starting shortcut is Shift–Command–Space, and you can record another combination. To use Command–Space, disable Spotlight’s shortcut under System Settings › Keyboard › Keyboard Shortcuts › Spotlight. CubbyPad then switches over.

Use a key, corner or gesture

  • Turn on F4 key to use the Launchpad or Spotlight key.
  • Turn on the three-finger pinch; spread your fingers to close the grid.
  • Choose a hot corner on any display. It fires once when the pointer arrives.
  • Use Settings › General to show the Dock or menu bar icon.

Choose a screen and close again

Open on the display with your pointer or choose a specific display. The shortcut toggles the grid. Escape, clicking empty space or switching to another app closes it. If opening after login fails, keep the app in Applications and check Open at login in Settings › General.

Keep exploring.
