Less typing, fewer wrong turns
Initials are enough: “gc” finds Google Chrome. Search also handles typos and the nicknames you give apps. Arrow keys pick a result; Return opens it. Search for an app and its recent files appear underneath.
The answer is already there
Try “24*18”, “200*15%” or “√16”. Return copies the answer. “Dark mode”, “wifi” and “open anyway” take you to the right System Settings page. Your Shortcuts can run straight from their search results.
Use your own words
With Apple Intelligence enabled on a supported Mac, describe a task such as “edit photos” and CubbyPad suggests suitable apps. That model runs on your Mac. Click the microphone or press Command–D to search by voice.
