A place for everything.
Put apps where you expect them. Make folders by dragging, let smart folders keep themselves up to date, and take back a move with Undo.
Move things the familiar way
Hold an app until the grid wobbles, then drag. Drop it on another app to make a folder, or hold it at a screen edge to move to the next page. Command-click selects several apps so you can move them together.
Some folders do their own filing
Recently Installed, Not Opened Lately and Games keep up as your apps change. Other folders keep the arrangement you made. Open All launches a whole folder together, useful for the apps you reach for at the start of work.
A little help with a crowded Mac
Organize previews a set of folders before anything moves. With Apple Intelligence it uses your Mac’s own model; otherwise it uses the apps’ App Store categories. Right-click empty space to sort by name, date added, last opened, most used or icon color. Command–Z takes back changes to the grid.
Make room for your apps.
