# Use icon actions with VoiceOver

CubbyPad icons expose accessibility actions for operations such as moving, renaming and taking an app out of a folder.

Last updated 26 October 2026

## Follow these steps

1. Turn on VoiceOver using your normal macOS accessibility workflow.

1. Navigate to a CubbyPad app or folder icon.

1. Inspect that icon’s available actions.

1. Choose the intended move, rename or folder action and listen for the result.

## What to expect

The icon’s actions provide an alternative to pointer-only gestures. CubbyPad also includes movement announcements to help confirm arrangement edits.

App and folder actions differ. A folder can offer Open All, while an app can offer Hide from Grid. The available action should be checked on the actual selected item.

## If the result is different

If you cannot find the intended command, verify the selected icon and whether it is inside a folder. Use the keyboard controls as another route and describe the item, action name and announcement when contacting support. Avoid equating a hidden icon with an uninstalled app.
