# Switch to a different app layout

Choose a layout from the grid’s top-left menu, the menu bar icon, Settings or an existing Shortcut.

Last updated 26 October 2026

## Follow these steps

1. Open CubbyPad and inspect the active layout.

1. Use the top-left layout chooser or the menu bar entry.

1. Select the intended arrangement.

1. Check a familiar folder to confirm the switch.

## What to expect

The grid shows the selected layout’s arrangement. Switching does not sign you out of applications or install a different set of software.

Layouts are organizational views inside the same macOS user account. A Work arrangement can hide visual clutter without creating a security boundary around personal documents.

## If the result is different

If the layout changes again automatically, inspect Focus Filters and display or time rules. The manual selection can be correct even though another active condition later selects an arrangement. Give layouts distinct names so the cause is easier to identify.
