# Add a Games smart folder to CubbyPad

Use the Games smart folder for a changing group of apps classified as games, separate from a manually arranged collection.

Last updated 26 October 2026

## Follow these steps

1. Open the empty-space context menu in the grid.

1. Choose New Smart Folder › Games.

1. Inspect the applications included.

1. Keep a separate manual folder if you want a curated set with different membership.

## What to expect

The smart folder supplies a category-based route to games without requiring every addition to be dragged into the group by hand.

A category group cannot express every personal preference. A launcher, emulator or creative tool you use for gaming may still need a manual group if its classification does not match your intention.

## If the result is different

Search for a missing title and check its app-source location, especially for games stored on an external disk. A game absent from the category can still be installed and launchable. Do not treat the smart folder as a software installer or a store library.
