# Show or hide CubbyPad’s Dock icon

The Dock toggle in Settings › General controls CubbyPad’s own Dock icon, separate from the apps inside its grid.

## Follow these steps

1. Open CubbyPad Settings › General.

1. Find the Shows up in card.

1. Turn Dock on to keep CubbyPad visible there.

1. If turning Dock off, keep the menu bar icon available as another route back to Settings.

## What to expect

The setting changes where CubbyPad itself appears. Clicking its Dock icon opens the launcher; it does not pin all the grid’s applications to the Dock.

CubbyPad keeps at least one of its Dock and menu bar entrances available so you can return to the app. This is also different from the presentation option that leaves the Dock visible below an open grid.

## If the result is different

If the control does not allow your intended combination, inspect the Menu bar toggle as well. If you meant to keep the Dock visible while browsing, use the grid’s Window settings instead of changing the app’s Dock-icon preference.
