# Select several apps for a group move

Command-click apps in CubbyPad to select a group, or use Space to select the keyboard-picked icon.

Last updated 26 October 2026

## Follow these steps

1. Enter arrangement mode by holding an icon.

1. Command-click the apps you want together.

1. Check the selected set before dragging one of its icons.

1. Use Command–A to select the whole page only when that is intended.

## What to expect

The selected icons move together when you drag one. This reduces repeated moves when building a task folder or reorganizing a page.

Keyboard users can pick an app with arrows and use Space for selection. Control–Command–N makes a folder from selected apps, providing another route beyond a pointer drag.

## If the result is different

If unexpected apps move along, undo and inspect the selection before trying again. Selection concerns the launcher’s arrangement and does not create a Finder file selection. Finish arrangement mode before testing ordinary single-click app opening.
