# Open Finder’s Get Info for an app

Choose Get Info from the app’s CubbyPad context menu to inspect its Finder information window.

Last updated 26 October 2026

## Follow these steps

1. Find the app whose information you need.

1. Right-click it in CubbyPad and choose Get Info.

1. Review any macOS request concerning CubbyPad asking Finder to show the window.

1. Read the app information in Finder.

## What to expect

Finder presents information for that application. CubbyPad asks Finder to open the window rather than recreating every Finder property inside the launcher.

This can help distinguish app versions or locations when reporting a discovery issue. The command is for inspecting the selected app and does not change your grid arrangement by itself.

## If the result is different

If the window does not appear, inspect the permission message and confirm Finder is available. You can locate the application in Finder and use its own Get Info command as a manual route. Share only the fields relevant to a support request.
