# Open CubbyPad Settings again

Use Command–Comma or the CubbyPad menu bar entry to return to Settings after the initial setup.

Last updated 26 October 2026

## Follow these steps

1. Open CubbyPad with a shortcut, the Dock or menu bar icon.

1. Press Command–Comma when CubbyPad is active, or choose Settings from its menu.

1. Choose the relevant sidebar section, such as Opening, Grid, Layout or License.

## What to expect

Settings shows the controls for the running application. You do not need to repeat installation or the welcome walkthrough to change a shortcut, appearance or layout preference.

If activation is required, opening CubbyPad can take you to License first. That is the correct place to inspect the key status before expecting normal access to the grid.

## If the result is different

If Command–Comma opens another app’s preferences, that app probably has focus. Use CubbyPad’s own menu bar entrance to remove the ambiguity. If you hid one entrance, use the other; CubbyPad retains at least one of the Dock and menu bar options.
