# Stop scanning an extra app folder

Remove an added source from Settings › Layout › App Folders when CubbyPad should no longer discover apps there.

Last updated 26 October 2026

## Follow these steps

1. Open Settings › Layout › App Folders.

1. Identify the added path you want to stop scanning.

1. Choose Remove for that source.

1. Check the discovered app list after the scan configuration changes.

## What to expect

The folder is no longer an added discovery location. Its files are not deleted, and this action is not an uninstaller.

Apps can also be available from normal application folders or another configured source. Removing one source should be understood as a discovery change rather than a command to erase every matching icon or installation.

## If the result is different

If you only want fewer icons in the grid, use Hide from Grid instead. If an important app becomes unavailable after removing its only source, add the folder again. Keep the source location and the visual launcher-folder name distinct when explaining a problem.
