# Use CubbyPad with Reduce Motion

CubbyPad respects the macOS Reduce Motion preference and fades the grid instead of using the selected decorative opening movement.

## Follow these steps

1. Inspect Reduce Motion in macOS Accessibility settings.

1. Open CubbyPad Settings › Opening and read the Motion card’s note.

1. Use Try It to see the accessible opening behavior.

1. Choose your preferred icon size and labels separately for readability.

## What to expect

The grid stays usable with reduced movement. A selected zoom or rise style may not play while the system preference is active; the fade is intentional.

Reducing motion does not remove keyboard navigation, folders, search or layouts. You can keep the same arrangement and opening shortcut while changing the visual transition.

## If the result is different

If you are comparing styles for a visual issue, include the Reduce Motion state in your report. Do not assume a missing zoom means your setting failed to save. For navigation needs, use the keyboard and VoiceOver controls documented separately.
