# Reset to the first page after a delay

Start over after can return a remembered grid position to the first page after CubbyPad has been closed for a chosen period.

## Follow these steps

1. Open Settings › Opening › Each time it opens.

1. Choose a mode that remembers a position instead of always opening the first page.

1. Set Start over after to Never, 5 Minutes or 1 Hour.

1. Test closing and reopening over the selected interval.

## What to expect

A brief return can preserve your place while a later session begins at page one. Never keeps this delay-based reset disabled.

The timer concerns how long the grid has been closed, not how long an unrelated app has been running. It does not delete pages or move their icons.

## If the result is different

If the delay control is not present, check whether Opens on already selects the first page. If a different set of apps appears, inspect the active layout and automatic rules; a page-position reset does not switch Work and Personal layouts by itself.
