# Create another CubbyPad layout

New Layout… starts a copy of the arrangement currently showing so you can adapt it for another activity.

Last updated 26 October 2026

## Follow these steps

1. Open Settings › Layout.

1. Choose New Layout….

1. Give the arrangement a recognizable name.

1. Create it, then adjust its pages and folders for the intended activity.

## What to expect

You have another layout rather than a second installation of the apps. Starting from the current arrangement avoids having to rebuild every useful group from nothing.

Each layout can keep its own pages, folders and grid size. Use a small number that matches real activities, then switch manually before adding automatic rules.

## If the result is different

If the new layout initially looks familiar, that is expected because it began as a copy. Check the active layout name before editing to avoid changing the wrong arrangement. Back up a layout you already rely on before major experiments.
