# Adjust spacing between app icons

Choose compact, standard or roomy icon spacing under Settings › Grid to change the feel of the app page.

Last updated 26 October 2026

## Follow these steps

1. Open Settings › Grid › Appearance.

1. Choose a Spacing value.

1. Compare a page with several similar icons.

1. Check the result alongside the selected icon size and grid dimensions.

## What to expect

The icons sit closer together or farther apart within the layout. The choice is intended to improve the presentation, not to move application installations or categorize apps.

Rows and columns define page capacity. Spacing and icon size affect the visual arrangement within that capacity, and each should be judged with readable labels enabled.

## If the result is different

If you want fewer apps per page, change the row or column count rather than only selecting roomy spacing. If a folder is hard to read, compare that view too; a first page with few icons may conceal crowding elsewhere.
