# Enable layout sync through iCloud Drive

Turn on iCloud Drive on each Mac, then enable Sync with your other Macs in CubbyPad’s Layout settings.

Last updated 26 October 2026

## Follow these steps

1. Enable iCloud Drive under the intended Apple Account on each Mac.

1. Back up any arrangement you want to keep.

1. Open Settings › Layout › Sync.

1. Enable Sync with your other Macs and review any choice between existing data sets.

## What to expect

Layouts, folders, hidden apps and chosen app names can travel through a file in your own iCloud Drive. The applications themselves are not installed through that file.

Apps absent from one Mac keep their place for Macs that have them. Each Mac still needs a compatible CubbyPad installation and an available activation under your license.

## If the result is different

If iCloud is unavailable, use Open iCloud… and check the system setting first. Allow delivery time before expecting another Mac to show a change. Keep a separate backup before merging or replacing organization you cannot easily recreate.
