# Choose between this Mac’s layouts and iCloud’s

When CubbyPad asks which existing layouts to use, inspect and back up the arrangement you want before choosing a side.

## Follow these steps

1. Read the device name and the two choices in the sync prompt.

1. Save a backup of this Mac’s arrangement before replacing it if you need to keep it.

1. Choose the other device’s layouts or Use This Mac’s deliberately.

1. Check the resulting pages on both Macs after iCloud delivery.

## What to expect

The selected set becomes the intended sync source. Treat the choice as selecting between arrangements, not as a harmless dismissal of an informational message.

Cancel turns sync off rather than forcing a choice immediately. Use that option if you need time to inspect the other Mac or save a recovery file first.

## If the result is different

If you chose the wrong set, stop further rearranging and inspect your saved backups. Avoid repeatedly switching both Macs’ sources without checking which copy is authoritative. Include the visible device names and desired arrangement in a support request.
