# Hide an app from CubbyPad’s pages

Hide from Grid removes an icon from browsing pages while keeping the app installed and available through search.

Last updated 26 October 2026

## Follow these steps

1. Right-click the app you want out of the page view.

1. Choose Hide from Grid.

1. Search for the app to confirm it remains reachable.

1. Use Settings › Hidden Apps if you want its icon visible again.

## What to expect

The launcher view becomes quieter without uninstalling the application. Its disk usage, documents and Finder location do not change because of hiding.

This is suitable for occasional utilities that should remain installed. It is not a security control and does not hide the application from other people using the same macOS account.

## If the result is different

If your goal is disk space, review Cleanup rather than expecting hiding to free it. If an app is consuming memory, quitting it is another separate action. Check the chosen command carefully before treating Move to Trash as equivalent to Hide.
