# Start and finish arranging the grid

Hold an app until the icons wobble to arrange CubbyPad; finish with Done, Escape or an empty-space click.

## Follow these steps

1. Open the grid and find the app you want to move.

1. Press and hold its icon until the grid wobbles.

1. Make the intended arrangement change.

1. Choose Done, press Escape or click empty space when finished.

## What to expect

The launcher switches from ordinary app opening to arranging icons. You can drag apps or select a group without treating every click as a launch.

The arrangement changes where shortcuts appear, not where application bundles are installed. Hiding and moving an app to the Trash remain separate commands with different consequences.

## If the result is different

If dragging opens an app instead, enter arrangement mode deliberately before moving it. If you select the wrong group, clear the selection before continuing. Command–Z can undo grid edits, while a backup is the stronger recovery point for a large reorganization.
