# Delete a layout you no longer need

Delete an added layout from Settings › Layout after saving a backup of any arrangement you want to retain.

Last updated 26 October 2026

## Follow these steps

1. Switch to the arrangement and inspect what it contains.

1. Use Back Up… if any of its organization should be kept.

1. Find the added layout’s menu and choose Delete….

1. Read the confirmation before removing that arrangement.

## What to expect

The saved layout is removed from CubbyPad’s layout collection. The installed applications themselves are not uninstalled by deleting an arrangement.

Keep the distinction between a layout, a folder within that layout and an application’s files. The delete confirmation should refer to the organizational item you actually intend to remove.

## If the result is different

If the option is absent for Main, use the controls for an added layout instead. If the layout participates in a Focus or automatic rule, inspect that configuration too. Do not rely on a deleted arrangement as your only record of a carefully organized grid.
