# Choose a CubbyPad hot corner

Select a screen corner in Settings › Opening to toggle CubbyPad when your pointer arrives there.

Last updated 26 October 2026

## Follow these steps

1. Open Settings › Opening.

1. Choose the intended Hot corner.

1. Move the pointer out of the corner before testing.

1. Move back into it on a connected display and inspect where the grid appears.

## What to expect

The corner reacts when the pointer arrives, rather than continually firing while the pointer remains there. It is another opening route alongside the shortcut, F4 and pinch.

The screen receiving the grid is controlled by the Display preference. Choosing a hot corner does not necessarily mean you selected a fixed screen for the window.

## If the result is different

If macOS performs a second action in that corner, inspect the system’s own Hot Corners setting using the link in CubbyPad. Choose a different corner or resolve the overlapping assignment. Test the combination with your normal display arrangement connected.
