# Check for a CubbyPad update now

Choose Check for Updates… in Settings › General or the app’s menu to look for a newer public release.

Last updated 26 October 2026

## Follow these steps

1. Open CubbyPad Settings › General.

1. Read the installed version in the Updates card.

1. Choose Check for Updates….

1. Review the update prompt and release notes before installing.

## What to expect

The updater checks for an available release. CubbyPad accepts updates carrying its own update signature. Checking does not mean every available release is installed without a prompt.

Every 1.x update is included with a Solo or Duo license. The website’s What’s new page records public release changes and is a useful place to check what an update is intended to change.

## If the result is different

If no check starts, confirm network access and whether you are using a release build; development builds may disable updates. Record the installed version and error text for support rather than deleting your layouts to troubleshoot an update feed.
