# Use your Mac wallpaper behind the app grid

Choose Wallpaper in Settings › Grid › Background when you want CubbyPad to use your Mac’s wallpaper presentation.

Last updated 26 October 2026

## Follow these steps

1. Open Settings › Grid › Background.

1. Select Wallpaper.

1. Open the grid and check the image behind the apps.

1. Adjust the available softness and dimming controls for readable names.

## What to expect

The app page uses a wallpaper backdrop instead of the frosted glass or a separate chosen picture. This is a display preference rather than a layout import.

A wallpaper may contain bright or detailed areas that compete with names. Inspect the full page, not only the center, and compare folders as well as ordinary icons.

## If the result is different

If the displayed image is not the one you intended, confirm whether you chose Wallpaper or Picture. The latter uses a separate image selected within CubbyPad. Keep your Mac’s own wallpaper configuration separate from the launcher’s background choice.
