# Schedule a weekday or weekend app arrangement

Use a chosen set of days and hours to bring forward a layout when your routine follows a stable schedule.

## Use a schedule for a routine that repeats

A weekday work interval or a regular weekend hobby session can be a reasonable layout trigger. The rule should reflect a pattern you actually follow. If your work times vary widely, manual switching or an existing Focus may be a clearer signal.

## Read the saved days and interval

1. Open the named layout’s Show Automatically… controls.

1. Choose the hours condition.

1. Set the start and end times and select the intended days.

1. Read the saved summary before leaving Settings.

## Compare what happens inside and outside it

Test a normal opening during the chosen interval and inspect the layout after it ends. A scheduled organization change does not open every app, close windows or perform a login action.

Keep the arrangement’s name distinct from Main. A clear label helps establish whether a time rule selected a different layout or whether you are simply on another page of the same one.

## Account for a Focus or connected display

An active CubbyPad Focus Filter and a matching display rule can take priority. Inspect the whole set of active conditions if the schedule seems ignored. Reducing redundant rules is usually easier to understand than repeatedly changing the same start time to test an unrelated condition.

[### When manual layout switching is the clearer choice

A direct layout selection can be more predictable than a rule when your activities do not consistently match a time, monitor or Focus.

CubbyPad offers Where I Left Off, The Same Page and The First Page, plus an optional delay before returning to the start.

Activation gives a Mac access to CubbyPad. A backup or iCloud sync brings over the arrangement. A smooth move handles both.
