# Use CubbyPad’s app actions with VoiceOver

Icon actions and keyboard controls provide routes for opening and arranging apps without relying on visual drag targets alone.

## Inspect the selected icon’s actions

CubbyPad exposes accessibility actions on app and folder icons. Their available operations depend on the item: an application and a folder do not offer exactly the same commands. Inspect the current action list rather than assuming a control belongs to every object.

## Use announcements to verify an edit

Move, rename and taking an app out of a folder are among the supported icon operations. Movement announcements help confirm what changed. Start with a small arrangement edit so that the intended destination and result are easy to compare.

Keyboard picking and Option-arrow movement provide another route alongside the icon’s actions. The complete shortcuts page records the combinations, including selection, naming and grouping.

## Keep removal commands deliberate

Hide from Grid changes the browsing view while leaving the app installed. A Trash action concerns the actual installation and asks for confirmation. Check the selected item and action before treating those operations as interchangeable ways to simplify a page.

## Report the interaction, not only the screen

1. Name the selected app or folder.

1. Record the action you chose.

1. Describe the announcement and resulting position.

1. Include CubbyPad and macOS versions so the behavior can be reproduced.

CubbyPad’s motion timing controls its own transition. It is separate from the time another application takes to load after selection.

No. The app grid, ordinary search, folders and layouts work without Apple Intelligence. Plain-language task suggestions and model-based organization have additional requirements.
