## Decide how much browsing context to retain

Where I Left Off restores the page and the folder you had open. The Same Page remembers the page with folders closed. The First Page always begins at the start. Choose the amount of remembered context that makes the next opening predictable for you.

## A short return and a new session can differ

For remembered-position modes, Start over after offers Never, 5 Minutes or 1 Hour. That lets a brief return preserve context while a later opening begins on the first page.

The interval concerns how long the grid has been closed. It does not mean the launcher deletes later pages or changes the underlying app arrangement after that time.

## Test the specific state you want to keep

1. Visit a later page and open a folder.

1. Close and reopen the grid.

1. Compare what the selected mode restores.

1. Repeat after the reset interval if one is enabled.

## Distinguish page memory from layout selection

A Work Focus or monitor rule can select another layout entirely. If different apps appear, inspect the active layout name before blaming the starting-page setting. The same page number in two arrangements does not have to contain the same folders or applications.

## More on layouts and workflows.

[### Moving a license is different from syncing a layout

Activation gives a Mac access to CubbyPad. A backup or iCloud sync brings over the arrangement. A smooth move handles both.

CubbyPad layouts keep separate pages, folders and grid sizes. Use Work and Personal arrangements when the apps you want to see change with the activity.
