# Move several apps between grid pages at once

Command-click selects several apps in CubbyPad so you can move the group together. Use it when a new folder or page needs more than one icon.

## Move a task’s tools together

Moving one icon at a time is manageable for a small adjustment. When you are making a new page for work or collecting a set of creative tools, selecting a group avoids repeating the same drag for each app.

First decide which apps belong together. A batch move makes a deliberate plan faster; it does not decide the plan for you. Check that the selection contains only the icons you intended to move.

## Select, then drag

1. Hold an app until CubbyPad enters arrangement mode.

1. Command-click the other apps to include them in the selection.

1. Drag the selection to the intended position or folder.

1. For another page, hold the selection at the screen edge until that page appears.

1. Finish with Done or Escape, then check the destination.

## Undo a move that lands in the wrong place

Press Command–Z to undo an arrangement change. Shift–Command–Z redoes it. Use this immediately when the wrong group moves or a drop creates an unintended folder. For a large reorganization, save a layout backup before starting.

## The apps remain installed where they were

This changes the arrangement in CubbyPad. It does not move application bundles between Finder folders, delete their files or launch them. If your goal is to start a set of apps together, use a folder’s Open All command instead of a batch arrangement move.
