# Avoid conflicts between a launcher and macOS hot corners

Check the system corner assignment as well as CubbyPad’s choice before expecting one pointer movement to have only one result.

## A corner can have more than one owner

CubbyPad can toggle its grid when the pointer enters a selected corner. macOS may already use that corner for another action. If both respond, changing app-folder positions will not resolve the conflict; the opening assignments need attention.

## Inspect the assignments together

1. Open CubbyPad Settings › Opening and note Hot corner.

1. Use Open Hot Corners… to inspect the system action.

1. Choose one deliberate assignment or separate corners.

1. Move away from the corner and enter it again to retest.

## Check a multiple-display setup separately

A corner interaction and the screen receiving the grid are different settings. Pointer-based opening, Main and a named display can produce different window locations even when the corner is working correctly.

Test with the monitors you actually use. A configuration tested on the laptop alone may be confusing after an external screen changes the workspace.

## Keep another opening route

Use a shortcut or visible icon entrance while resolving the overlap. If a corner is one you often cross accidentally, choosing another control may be more comfortable than repeatedly changing its timing expectations. The gesture should serve the routine rather than making ordinary pointer movement harder.
